Sun was another full day. First a stop at Ikea in San Diego to look at desks and playroom furniture. Going to Ikea on Labor day weekend---man that was a bad idea, but we made it out, barely. From there it was down to Chula Vista for a birthday party for 2 yr old Diego (Moe's cousin's son) Isabel was little testy but all in all behaved herself. She loved the tball set and the playground that was near by. She got to go after the pinata twice and was really getting into it. And of course all the candy she got was just a bonus.
After the party we headed to another part of Chula Vista to visit with Moe's father side of the family. Mainly his grandmother and the family she lives with. Isabel got to play in their sandbox, with their granddaughters toys and shoes. They even had a little tea set and Isabel made all sort of goodies for her Dada to taste.
We finally headed home around 8 and Isabel fell asleep before we had even driven for 2 min. It was long day for all us.
Monday was our staying at home day. Moe worked on the yard, which I am proud to say is finally starting to look like a real lawn instead of just a patchy, weedy field. Isabel and I were in the backyard playing in her pool. We all met inside for turkey sandwiches and fruit. Isabel then went down for her nap, Moe and I did different errands around the house.
When it had cooled down a bit it was back outside for more yardwork and cleaning out the garage, we now actually have 2 cars parked in our 2 car garage. Some neighborhood girls came to play with Isabel and she just had a ball. They were chasing each other around our lawn. Isabel let them play with her lawnmower. They looked at bugs together,played house and just had fun.
Then it was dinner time. Moe grilled some fish and made mash potatoes and rice. Isabel only ate the rice but us big people really liked the rest of it.
We ended the day with a long bath for Isabel and me and off to bed we went.
