Busy days

Thurs and Fri were busy days for us. On thurs I had my monthly checkup. Everything was good. The baby's heartbeat was nice and strong, all my levels were good and my weight is right on track.

At the same time I was having my appt Moe was across the street with Isabel at her checkup. She has now moved up to the big girl scale. Getting her to stand still for it was a little difficult as she was so interested in the machine. But they managed to get it-she weighed 29 lbs and was 34inches tall. Putting her in the 52 percentile for weight and 75 percentile for height. Which seems kind of low compared to where she use to be but we have no doubt she will just keep growing and probably surpass me.

She had to get tested for anemia, which involves pricking her finger. She cried for about 5 secs until the nurse showed her the band aid-then she was all smiles. But that didn't stop her from milking it. When we met up after the appt the first thing she did was show me her finger and go "coocoo mama" and look all sad. She is going to be one good actress.

Other than that the Dr says she looks just perfect and she will now only have to go dr once a year for her check ups.On Friday we started the day early going to my ultrasound appt. My mom met us there and we all sat in the tiny waiting room, trying to distract isabel who was not a happy camper. Waking up early and missing her Dora and breakfast just not a good combo for her.

When they finally took us into the office she did not like me laying on the table. But as soon as the image came up on the screen she got interested. Pretty soon she was saying baby and pointing to the screen. And also saying "aqua". She knew the baby was floating in water.

We saw all the main things-arms,legs,spine,lungs,etc which is what we were really concerned about. But then we saw the "money shot" Yup we are having a BOY!!!!!!!!

After the appt we all went to breakfast where Isabel and I had this conversation

Me "Did you want a baby brother?"

Her "No"

Me "Oh did you want a baby sister?"

Her "No"

Me "Did you just want to stay by yourself?"

Her "Yeah"

So now we know how she really feels. After breakfast we said goodbye to my mom than the 3 of us headed to the Lake Elsinore Outlets. Where I of course had to buy some cute little hats and couple other items for my little boy. Isabel also got to pick some stuff. her favorite -a halloween wand and halloween pjs. My "big boy" also was very happy with the trip since he got brand new shoes. All in all a very successful trip.
