well hello again...

I know I know. It's been a long long long time. One of my new year's resolution is to get back to regular blogging.
So a quick update. Life is as always extremeful chaotic, crazy and tons of fun! Isabel is just amazing. Everyday she learns something new and has a new vocab word. It just cracks me up to hear her use some of these grown up words and phrases like-"I suspect", "actually", "distracted" And she uses them correctly! She just loves school and is making all sorts of new friends. During christmas vacation I got the chance to pick her up and she was hugging her friends good bye. Pointing out exactly where everyone's cubby was. Introducing me to her teacher.
She still loves being a big sister, definitely some jealousies issues have come up here and there. And there is of course lots of fighting, but no matter how hard Joaquin may push her or hit her, she will still be hugging and kissing him within a few moments.
She is still completely in love with all things princesses and pink and girly. She loves quizzing us about the different princesses. And will wear anything as long as it's pink or sparkly.
Joaquin is in one word a tornado. He never stops moving and yelling and pointing and jumping and destroying. That boy is seriously going to give one of us a heart attack. Jumping off couches, running into walls, getting his arms stuck in his toys, climbing over gates, if it's not one thing it's another. And than after everything he flashes you that big HUGE grin, bats his long eyelashes and says "huugg huugg" It is so hard to stay serious with him.
He is really starting to learn all sorts of new words. He's got a couple short sentences "want more" "where dada"
We are really trying to push "please" and 'thank you" Especially since when he says them his voice goes high pitch and it comes out "pleeezzzz", so cute!!
He is turning out to be a really good eater. Last night for dinner he had one whole serving of Albondigas, than about 1/4 of my salad (leaves and all), than about another 1/2 serving of albondigas. But yet he is still very lean, he just keeps growing taller and moves so much he just burns off everything he eats.
He and Isabel love playing pretend. They pretend to be dogs complete with belly rubs and walks. Also take turns playing baby and cars and school. And sometimes pretend games that I can't even make sense of. He loves anything relating to cars or dinosaurs. But hates clothes, as soon as we are home and turn our back for 2 secs he has already stripped down to his diaper.
Speaking of diapers, potty training has not been a success at all. He loves going potty when big sis does but he's so excited about everything in the bathroom that he won't sit for any longer than a couple seconds. But he will be starting preschool when he turns 2 and they will be helping with the potty training.
I have a ton of pics and videos to catch up on so hopefully that will happen sometime soon. So stay tune!
